There’s nothing more inspiring than a NEW and EXCITING GOAL that can motivate you to eat healthy food and exercise on a regular basis. My first year of blogging, I gave myself a goal of snapping a pic of each and every thing that I ate, good or bad, big or little, proud or embarrassing. I also set myself a goal of taking pics of my workouts, whether it was a gym class, a sport, a fun activity or an active chore. And what I learned throughout that year of recording my life and sharing it with you?
Well, I found that I was diligent, steadfast, and consistent in my workouts, for the most part, and that I truly love sharing my fitness time with others. I had moments in my eating habits that I celebrated good choices.. and moments where I felt like crawling in a hole and hiding what I’d eaten. I also found I overcame shyness in those awkward picture-taking moments in restaurants, etc. and that I absolutely loved capturing and sharing moments with the world of my friends, as we all had fun and gave it our best in our workouts.
But what I didn’t expect to find during the year? was a great sense of self-confidence and an awareness of others who encouraged me through the hard and tedious times. I guess I’d never realized how many people in the world would step out and show their love —- cheering me on and supporting me, to reach my goal. Tumblr friends, facebook friends, my home-town friends and even those of you from across the world, all lifted me up to encourage me to keep going and finish what I started. But not just me in my goal. I’ve seen support and encouragement for many, many others who have weight issues and struggles, and a heart-warming and abundant support system for those of us who are trying to become more healthy & fit.
I’m so glad I began this blog … and shared my life with the world so that the world could share their life with me. Thanks. —-Kelley♥
